Visitors

We've been lucky enough to have several visitors at our house so far since Emmerich arrived.
The first visitor (other than grandparents of course) was Andrew Logan. He was on his way to Galveston the day that we got home from the hospital so he stopped by to see Em and say hello. He was also nice enough to bring some beautiful flowers. Unfortunately I was exhausted and sleeping so I didn't even get to say hello! We will just have to see him again soon :)

Lauren and Adam Kiecke came to visit in the hospital and again last Monday and they were nice enough to bring us a frozen dinner for the freezer stash of homemade enchiladas (which we have already eaten by the way). They also brought the makings for a delish salmon dinner and cooked for us here at our house. So glad that they aren't too far away! And congrats Lauren on your new job ;)

Last Friday three of my girlfriends from College Station made the trek down here to meet Emmerich. Patty, Joanna, and Amy arrived and Emmerich slept almost the entire time they were here. They got me out of the house and we ate some yummy BBQ baked potatoes at Hinze's BBQ. It was Emmerich's first eating out experience (she slept through the whole thing). How appropriate that her first time out (other than a stop at the snow cone stand) was at a BBQ joint; she was born in Wharton after all...
Emmerich sleeping at Hinze's.  She was so asleep that I had to tickle her a few times to make sure she was still breathing!

We've got more visitors scheduled for this weekend. My dad and Dianne will be staying with us and my aunt and uncle are bringing my grandma, Betts, down to meet her. So proud to introduce our sweet girl to everyone!
