First Bath and Nail trim

This all occurred last week (don't want anyone to think that we aren't bathing our daughter!). The first bath consisted of many unhappy faces and squirming, but Paul and I are getting quicker and have learned to "preheat" the bathroom with the heater before we get started and Emmerich is really starting to enjoy her baths!

 Emmerich's favorite part of the bath is having her hair washed by her daddy. (Daddy sort of loves it too). Her little face gets so relaxed and her eyes are so alert looking at us the whole time. She is such a beautiful baby.

 We go through a ton of washcloths and she looks so cute in her piggy blanket courtesy of Alice and Lindsay, two of Paul's vet school classmates.

Paul did a great job cutting her nails. I could barely look but he acted with surgical precision and her manicure is holding up nicely. Hmm...anyone noticing that Paul is now doing hair and manicures? Who would have thought...
