11 months

My cell phone went swimming last week, so I don't have as many pictures as I normally do...I'm trying to dry it out in rice and we will see if it comes back to life.

Here's what she's up to:

We're standing!
Just in the last week Em started standing on her own! She's so proud of herself :) She's taken one step or so on her own at a time. She's sooo close

Eating more finger foods. Loves fajita chicken, pork tenderloin and cauliflower. She's not so sure about whole green beans, but I think she's coming around. She's all about feeding herself but doesn't have the concept of the spoon yet.

Loves reading. She does great in the car while "reading" board books all by herself

Loves swimming

Loves our daily stroller rides

Says, "bye bye" (although not on command), "puppa" for puppy and "woof" when she sees or hears a dog, "baby" for her little stuffed animals, "dada" We worked really hard on this one and she's got it now, she'll even point to Paul and say "dada." He's pretty proud. She will also say "mama" but I think she put that on the back burner while working on dad. In the picture she's pointing to "dada"
Hear new favorite phrase is "daba daba daba" It reminds us of the flinstones and it is so cute. I'll try to get it on video one of these days.

She loves other kids. She shows this by squealing when ever another kid is in the near vicinity.  She squeals at Eloise across the pews in church, squeals at random kids in the grocery store and loved having Walker come visit over Memorial day. They had a great time squealing at each other!

She is opening cabinets and drawers and loves to take everything out. She also likes to empty her book and toy baskets. Just this week she's started putting some things back into containers (thank goodness).

These last few months have been so fun. She's growing into a little girl right before our eyes!
