Paul and I got a whim on his day off Tuesday and drove about an hour southeast to Matagorda beach for a picnic. We stopped in bay city for some bread salami and brie and watched the ocean while we ate. Then we walked down to the water and dipped Em's toes in. She loved the breeze but wasn't too sure about the water!
