Easter morning started with opening Easter baskets. Em was particularly excited about her new stuffed bunny and a hello kitty bubble machine :)
We went to church - it was a wonderful service.
That was followed by a rousing egg hunt in the back yard. For those of you who have never had a toddler, their facination with picking things up and putting them into baskets/tubs/drawers etc is amazing. So needless to say she could have done this all day. But then she discovered the jelly beans inside and that changed the focus. She's a fan of jelly beans by the way!
Our neigbors invited us over with their kids/grandkids for another Easter celebration later that afternoon. I've written multiple times about how wonderful our neighborhood is and it really is amazing. We are so lucky to have the Janaks next door.
Emmerich hit the pinata, hunted eggs and had special pastel rice crispie treats. She was exhausted by about 6:00 that evening and had an early bedtime. What a wonderful way to celebrate one of the best days of the year!
